The Eastern Busway Alliance is five organisations working together: Auckland Transport, Fletcher, ACCIONA, AECOM and Jacobs. We’re building the Pakūranga to Botany section of the busway and a four-lane road bridge (flyover) above Reeves Road and across Tī Rākau Drive in partnership with mana whenua.


Staff in the alliance include specialists in safety, community engagement, sustainability, design and construction, risk and commercial management, sharing their skills and knowledge to deliver this large and complex infrastructure project.

    Senior Project Engineer


    Reporting to our Zone Manager, the scope of the role will see you:

    • Work with our design teams to provide overall feedback and constructability reviews.
    • Lead and manage a team of experienced engineers;
    • Support and provide technical assistance to our supervisors and superintendents.
    • Oversee and manage the procurement of plant, equipment and resources;
    • Conduct short- and medium-term planning;
    • Provide regular reporting including end of month cost reviews and 2forecasting and programming.
    • Work with our project controls team to provide feedback or works completed and upcoming works planning.
    • Ensure overall quality management including all necessary documentation;
    • Work collaboratively with our internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and local community groups to achieve a best for project and best for community outcome.

     

    Competencies we are looking for:

    Great people skills and the ability to build trust is a must backed by strong communications skills. 


    You may also have:

    • Experience in an Alliance or Joint Venture on a Major Project in Civil or Structure space.
    • A tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an SPE
    • Experience influencing and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes whilst developing strong working relationship.

    Foreman (Civil Works)


    The purpose of this role is to supervise and assist in the construction of the Eastern Busway Alliance and manage workers to optimize the use of time, material, plant and subcontractor resources and to undertake and achieve project tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company values, policies and procedures.

    The Foreman is responsible for workmanship of their team and their subcontractors.


    Reporting to the Zone Supervisor the scope of the role will see you:

    • Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and to spec, ensuring no rework. Ensure corrective actions from quality audits, snag lists and inspections are actioned, closed out and lessons are shared to prevent rework.
    • Manage installation of temporary works within work area and ensure work area is compliant with temporary works management plan, inspected and approved for use.
    • Lead crew to follow Work Plans, methodologies, drawings, ITP’s (Inspection and Test Plans), and specifications.


    Competencies we are looking for:

    • Minimum 2 years of Construction and Engineering experience in a lead role,
    • Technical knowledge in Construction methods including productivities
    • Experience working around live services, earthworks, paving and live traffic
    • Effective communication skills – both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
    • Effective interpersonal skills – work with and get the best out of a wide mix of people.
    • Effective organisational skills - able to manage time well and prioritise work.
    • Intermediate to advance level in MS Office especially Excel.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.

    Senior Surveyor EB2


    About the role:

    Reporting to the Surveyor Manager, working closely, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for design, drafting and related tasks as assigned. Must be capable of performing CAD drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D. With a strong understanding of all survey principles and procedures.

     

    About you and your experience:

    You’ll be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a key focus around on effectively measuring and administrating our construction projects with a solution focused mindset. You’ll be confident in liaising directly with internal and external stakeholders to gather the information you need. 

    This role will require someone who promotes and innovates with a mindset of continual improvement. You will be a driven person who enjoys sharing the successes with your colleagues and delivering exceptional outcomes for your stakeholders. You will want to grow your skills and develop yourself professionally, as well as assist with mentoring and developing junior staff.


    • Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS3910.
    • An understanding of Civil 3D, 12D, 12D model, 12d Synergy, Leica and Trimble instruments, Trimble office. iTWOcx, is advantageous. 
    • Ability to meet requirements and deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable the building of effective relationships with key stakeholders

    Surveyor Assistant


    The purpose of Surveyor Assistant role is supporting the survey team to maintain the Alliance’s geospatial information, this involves data verification, data set out, survey as built and outputting info into software systems. An introductory operational knowledge of civil and construction works, operations and calculations and the ability to interact with Eastern Busway Alliance staff, contractors, designers, and clients is essential for this position.


    About the Role:

    • Assist Site Surveyors with strategies, systems, and procedures for the execution of all surveying operations to the required level of accuracy and quality.
    • Work to a program of surveying activities coordinated with construction and paving time frames.
    • Become familiar with 12D model software and develop draughting & modelling skills to be able to produce basic drawings, calculations, and report volumes.
    • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with any specification or standard prepared for a particular job.
    • Assist and participate in the maintenance of the project Survey Control.
    • Assist with the set outs as per Area Manager / Foreperson instruction.

    Accounts Payable


    The Role

    The Accounts Payable Officer role will play a crucial role in our finance team. Your responsibilities include accurately processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, reviewing, and reconciling expense reports, processing payments, keeping accounts payable records organized, and ensuring compliance with company financial policies and regulations.


    About You:

    You will thrive in a high-energy setting, with a primary emphasis on effectively administrating our Accounts Payable function.


    What you’ll bring to the role:

    • Proficiency in accounting software and tools
    • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
    • Processing supplier invoices with and without purchase orders
    • Reconciliation of Supplier statements / payments
    • Accounts Payable month end accruals and Journal processing
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
